Rajasthan with Ajanta Ellora Duration : 17 Days - 16 Nights Destinations : Delhi - Bombay - Aurangabad - Udaipur - Ranakpur - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Bikaner - Mandawa - Jaipur - Agra - Delhi Day 01: Delhi - Bombay. Upon arrival you are met And transferred to your pre booked hotel. City tour of Bombay visiting Jehangir Art Gallery, Prince of Wales Museum, Victoria Gardens, Gateway of India, Dhobi Ghat, Malabar Hills, Hanging Gardens and Mahalaxmi Temple.  Day 02: Bombay - Aurangabad. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your pre booked hotel. Day 03: Aurangabad. Full day excursion to Ajanta - Ajanta Caves renowned chiefly for their magnificent wall paintings and frescoes - Depicting scenes from the life of Buddha. The caves consist mainly of Buddhist caves temples and monastries cut into the rock, dating from 200 BC to 50 AD. Ellora - Ellora caves - a great and unique achievement in cave architecture and sculpture which demonstrates this peaceful co existence of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Day 04: Aurangabad - Udaipur. Upon arrival in Udaipur met and transferred to your pre booked hotel. Day 05: Udaipur. Full day city tour of Udaipur visiting the Lake Palace, Pratap Smarak - Hilltop Garden with the statue of Maharana Pratap, Sahelion Ki Bari, brings to the fore the unique life style of the royal ladies who once strolled in these gardens, Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum - A foundation for the preservation of arts in India and jag Mandir and excursion to Nagada and Eklingi. Day 06: Udaipur - Ranakpur. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Vist to Ranakpur group of temples.  Day 07: Ranakpur - Jodhpur. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. City tour of Jodhpur visiting Meharangarh Fort - the most impressive fort in entire Rajasthan, was built by the city's founder five centuries ago. All rulers of the city were crowned here. Jaswant Thada, a memorial built in pure white marble is for the exclusive use of the royal family, as a crematorium. Umaid Bhawan Palace, built in this century, resembles the Taj Mahal. But in rose coloured sandstone, Old Fort Museum and Mandore Gardens. Day 08: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Day 09: Jaisalmer. Full day city tour of Jaisalmer visiting Jaisalmer Fort - which house royal apartments and a palace as well as the famous Jain temples. Gadisar Lake - A Rain Water Lake, a picnic spot ideal for boating, Havelis - intricately latticed with conspicuous facades. Day 10: Jaisalmer - Bikaner. Upon arrival check inat your pre booked hotel. City tour of Bikaner visiting Junagarh Fort - built around 1593 AD having 37 palaces, temples and pavilions within, it is one of its kind. Lall Garh Palace - built by Maharaja Ganga Singh in memory of his father Maharaj Lal Singh and Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum.  Day 11: Bikaner - Mandawa. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Visit to the Havelis of the Chokhanis, Goenkas Nevatia and Ladia and the Sarafs which are extravagantly painted. One of the oldest frescoes is within the fort itself. Day 12: Mandawa - Jaipur. Check in to your pre booked hotel. Day 13: Jaipur. Full day city tour of Jaipur visiting the City Palace or Chandra Mahal converted as a museum, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Jantar Mantar - the royal observatory built by the Maharaja Jai Singh, excursion to Amber Fort (the massive citadel on the hill) highlighted by an elephant ride up to the entrance of the fort. The fort is a living example of the grandeur and majesty of the Rajput kings. Day 14: Jaipur - Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel. Visit to Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Day 15: Agra - Delhi. Upon arrival check in at your pre booked hotel.  Day 16: Delhi .Full day combined city tour of Old and New Delhi visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan - the official residence of the President of India, India Gate (the War Memorial) - a monument dedicated to the soldiers who became martyrs during the Second World War, Bahai Temple, Humayun's Tomb - a fore runner to Taj Mahal constructed by Haji Begum, Qutab Minar - one of the tallest stone tower (minarete) in India, Red Fort - built by the great Mughal emperor Shahjehan in red sandstone, Jama Masjid - this historic mosque is one of the largest mosque of its kind in India in India and Raj Ghat - the cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi. Day 17: Leave Delhi. Departure tranfer to airport to board flight for onward journey. |
